Xining to Chengdu Overland
The Xining to Chengdu via Jiuzhaigou National Park, which has become more and more popular in recent years in Xining and Chengdu, both of cover the most impressive tourist sites and remote monasteries in this trip. The trip starts from Xining and goes to Rebkong via Shachong Monastery. It offers great views on a mountain top beside the Yellow River.
Rebkong is known as the Tibetan artist village throughout Tibet. On the boundless grassland you can take a picnic and see nomads milking and herding yaks. Labrang Monastery is one of the six major Tibetan monasteries of the Gelugpa order of Tibetan Buddhism. Takstang Lamo is a rural Tibetan village, surrounded by snow capped peaks and rocky mountains; there are monasteries buildings and numerous possibilities for hikes and horse trekking. The tour continues to The National Park via Zoige county, and is one of the most beautiful grasslands in Asia, Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve is most popular destinations: more than 1.5 million people visit the park every year. There you find bluer-than-blue lakes and rushing waterfalls cascading among deep green trees surmounted by snowy mountains, just pay a visit to the Taoist Temple at Qingchen Shan, The tour will end at Chengdu airport.

Day 1: Xining---Shachong Monastery---Rebkong(Tongren) (2160m) 180km / 3hrs
You will go from Xining to Shachung Monastery, which is located on a mountain top and has a great view of the Yellow River. Afterwards, we'll drive to Repkong. Repkong is home to 3 large Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and is famous across Tibet for its artists. You will see beautiful views driving along the Yellow River. Once in Rebkong visit Shanggeshong Mago, oday well known as artists' village in Rebkong; they were established in the 15th18th centurices. Afterward, we will visit Rongwu monastery, the biggest monastery in Rebkong and home to more 400 monks today. Stay overnight in Rebkong.
Day 2: Rebkong—Labrang (Xiahe) (2800m) 120kms / 2hrs
Early morning we will drive to Labrang through the famous grassland of Gyanga to Labrang. Labrang Monastery is one of the six major Tibetan monasteries of the Gelugpa order of Tibetan Buddhism. It used to be home to over 4000 monks and today there are over 1500 monks. Many important religious events have been held in Labrang Monastery through the years. If time allows its worth while to take the Kora. We will overnight in Labrang.
Day 3: Labrang—Takstang Lhamo(Langmusi) (3300m) 210kms / 3-4hrs
Today we will drive to Takstang Lamo through the rolling grassy plateau;there are thousands of yaks and yak hair tents along the road to Takstang Lamo. It is a very beautiful village surrounded by green forest and rocky mountains. It is an excellent place for hiking and riding horses on day trips to visit nomad families and to have lunch with a nomad family. Once arrived there you can visit the monastery and hike up the gorge. You will spend the night in Takstang Lamo.
Day 4: Takstang Lhamo ( Horse Riding Day Trip)
Takstang Lamo is a rural Tibetan village located among steep grassy meadows, surrounded by snow capped peaks and grassy hills; there are many monastery buildings and numerous possibilities for hiking and horse trekking. It’s a wonderful place to relax. You can take a horse riding day trip to visit local nomads and taste traditional Tibetan food with a nomad family; in the afternoon you will ride back to town for the night.
Day 5: Takstang Lhamo—Zdoige—Jiuzhaigou National Park (2500m) 350kms / 6 hrs
We will leave from Takstang Lamo to go to Jiuzhaigou National Park via Zdoige. You will drive through boundless grasslands, one of the most beautiful grasslands in Asia; this county calls Zoige high altitude grasslands. On the way you will stop for some short hikes and try riding yaks along the way to the National Park. we will stay in National Park.
Day 6: Jiuzhaigou National Park (One day explore the lakes and valleys of Jiuzhaigou)
After breakfast, prepare to enter the National Park gate; Jiuzhaigou park is one of the most natural beauty, with wild mountains and green forest and Tibetan style houses, before you enter the Park we hope all of our tourists are ready to take many pictures there, and spend the whole day to exploring this sacred Natural Park with snow capped mountains, green forest and attractive waterfalls, we will spend the night in Jiuzhaigou.
Day 7: Jiuzhaigou National Park—Qingcheng Mountain (765m) 385kms/ 7 hrs.
We will drive to Qingcheng Shan, drive back to the main road and head towards Qingcheng Shan, which is also has beautiful scenery. We will stay overnight at Qingcheng Mountain.
Day 8: Qingcheng Shan---Chengdu airport (125m) 2hrs.
In the morning, you can see the monks in the Taoist Temple practicing their Taiji with their masters. You are also welcome to practice with the monks and after lunch drive to Shanglu Airport, which will take 3-4hours, and end your tour. Say goodbye to our guide and driver.
