Almost three years ago i made my trip in Tibet. I left Italy, my country, with three friends: Stefania, Maura and Giordano. But during our trip we knew another friend…Gonkho, our guide.
Thanks to Gonkho we walked across this beautiful and mysterious country. We started from Lhasa, the capital, where modernism meet ancient, we went around from west to east. We found real Tibet, visiting monastery and meeting this great people! Our friend Gonkho drove us inside this incredible culture and this amazing religion and we found a part of our soul that everybody must be discover.
After few years I bring in my heart this memory and the dream to came back to Tibet with our friendand guide.
I would advise Gonkho as guide for his availability and his fondness which transmit desire to lose ourself inside this new world.

We had an amazing trip in Amdo with Gonkho as a guide. Me and my friend Kaja and John from England spent 10 days with Gunkho on the road in Amdo. Gonkho is a great story teller, has a lot of knowledge about Tibetan life and history, and about Buddhism. He is also great fun and fun to hang out with, which is very important considering spending a lot of time together. We could not be more happy with our guide. Gonkho, if I ever come back to go to Kham, I will without doubt hire you again. Thank you!

Just wanted to say that Erin and I really enjoyed our trip with you and Mr. He and I am sure we made the right choice. You both were very accommodating and adding the extra day to Kumbum to compensate for cutting the trek short was an awesome gesture and really appreciated. I think with you we were able to see a very authentic side of Amdo that wouldn’t have been possible on our own.

We had a really nice time. I think it was a good itinerary for five days, especially for two six year olds who don’t want to be in the car the entire time. We would have loved to explore more countryside/grassland, but it was April and a bit cold, so not much to do about that. Samdup was great, he was really easy going, and polite and incredibly helpful. We managed with Chinese and he was really good and making sure we learned some Amdo dialect. We, of course, had lots of questions, about history, religion and politics, so I hope we didn’t put Samdup in an awkward position to have to answer them.
Really it was a lovely trip and I will recommend you to friends in Beijing.

In June 2014 me and my dad did a lot of research about our trip through Tibet. After enquiring a lot of information from several tour organisations we knew we found the best tour with Gonkho from Mystic Tibet Tours.
We wanted to make a tour through Tibet while omitting the most touristic areas, seeing some of the most beautiful landscapes and getting to know the real Tibetan culture (and the people). I emailed Gonkho with our wishes for this trip and he send us the best itinerary we could imagine: a tour though Amdo and Kham Tibet regions. Travelling through Tibetan grasslands, mountains and other landscapes, seeing nomad life and visiting all different kinds of monasteries. He truly listened to us and provided a tour which matched our wishes (something that other tour agencies lack, in Tibet, if you ask me).
Gonkho is a local, knows more about Tibet than you could ever imagine and will do everything to make his clients happy. Something that I also really appreciated from Mystic Tibet Tours is that they support locals, everything you eat, everywhere you go and everywhere you sleep is truly Tibetan, created by locals. So in our way we could help support local economy.
During the tour we wanted to make some changes to the itinerary, and Gonkho made sure that we had the time we wished (and payed) for.
Also when things went wrong (and trust me, it is Tibet and things don’t always go as planned) he made sure that everything would be perfect again. He is very committed to his clients and to his country.
He will tell you everything you want to know about Tibet, he will show you everything you would like to see in Tibet and he will make your experience unforgettable.
We fell in love with Tibet! Because it is absolutely the most beautiful part of the world with the kindest people I have ever met, but also because Gonkho (the manager) from Mystic Tibet Tours made our tour absolutely incredible!

My friend and I had a great time in Kham during June-July 2015 and would like to share our experience with Mystic Tibet Tours as well. As we both speaks Mandarin, we requested for driver only (no guide).
Firstly Gonkho, the manager is very professional and provided great advice on the itinerary. I made so many changes and he is always very accommodating.
Secondly, we are very pleased with the driver which Gonkho have arranged for us. I cannot praise Mr Li Houyun highly enough! We felt very safe and well taken care of throughout the entire trip.
Mr Li is a good-natured, humble, honest, humorous, hardworking and generous man.
We love taking photos and Mr Li is always very willing to stop along the way to let us take pictures.
He is always sharing tips, stories and jokes along the way and that made the trip very interesting.
Overall, I will not hesitate to recommend Mystic Tibet Tours to my friends. And iff I ever travel to the Tibetan region in future, I would definitely request for Mr Li to be our driver again!
The last time I posted about Mystic Tibet Tours was in January of 2015 when I first met Ghonkho and was planning on a two week trip through Kahm and Amdo. Well my wife and I just returned from a two week magical journey through there with Ghonkho and it was truly THE BEST trip we ever took in our lives! He is a warm, knowledgable guide who knows every nomad and farmer in the area. His choices of lodgings are second to none. He was raised in the area so his knowledge is amazing.
More importantly he is Tibetan, not a import guide who is not knowledgable of the area.
On our last night in Chengdu we celebrated by taking Ghonkho and his driver out for dinner and we had pizza something they certainly were not used to. If you have any desire to travel to this wonderful place in the world do not contact anyone other than Ghonkho at MYSTICTIBETTOURS.COM.
