The trip starts in Xining and to goes Trika via Qinghai Lake; In Tibetan we call Tso Wunpo which means blue lake. Trika is known as the lowest place in Qinghai Provence; Rebkong is famous for its art works throughout Tibet. On the boundless grassland you have a chance to take picnic and see nomads milking and herding yaks. Labrang Monastery is one of the six major Tibetan monasteries of the Gelugpa order of Tibetan Buddhism, the most important pilgrimage in Amdo. Taktsang Lamo is a rural Tibetan village, surrounded by snow capped peaks and rocky mountains; it offers numerous possibilities for hikes and horse trekking, we will visit Mongolian town on the way back to Xining.

Duration: 8 days and 7 nights.
Day 1: Xining—Qinghai Lake—Trika(Guide)
In the early morning we will drive to Qinghai Lake, the biggest salt lake in Tibet and also one of Tibet's most holy lakes you can take a walk at the lake shore and ride a horse there; in the afternoon we will drive to Traka through sand dunes and along the Yellow River. If time allows we can pay a visit to Jokhang Temple. We will spend the night in Traka.
Day2: Traka—Shachong Monastery—Rebkong(Tongren)
We will drive along the Yellow River to Shachong Monastery, one of the four famous monasteries along the northern Yellow River. Then we'll continue along the Yellow River to Repkong (Tongren), which is known as the cradle of Tibetan arts.We will spend the night in Repkong.
Day 3: Rebkong
After breakfast, we'll drive to Sanggeshong Yago and Mago, today known as artists' village in Rebkong. They were established in the 15th 18th centuries. Afterward, we will visit Rongwu monastery, the biggest monastery in Rebkong and home to more than 400 monks today. In the afternoon, if the time allows,we'll take a detour to Gomar Monastery and pay a visit to the giant Chorden. We will spend the night in Rebkong.
Day 4: Rebkong—Gartse monastery—Labrang
Today we'll drive through traditional villages to Gartse and pay a visit the monastery there, on the way to Labrang, Afterward, we will continue to drive on the open grassland filled with yaks and sheep. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Labrang monastery, one of the six largest monastries of the Gulukpa, today home to more than 1500 monks; if the time allows we will take a walk around the monastery. we will overnight in Labrang.
Day 5: Labrang—Takstang Lamo
Today we drive to Taktsang Lamo through the rolling grassy plateau, viewing thousands of yaks and yak-hair tents along the road. Taktsang Lamo is a Very beautiful village surrounded by green forest and rocky mountains. It is an excellent place for hiking and riding horses on day trips to visit nomad families and have lunch with a nomad family. Once arrived there you can visit the monastery and hike up the gorge. We will spend the night in Taktsang Lamo.
Day 6: Takstang Lamo
Taktsang Lamo is a rural Tibetan village located among steep grassy meadows, surrounded by snow-clad peaks and rocky mountains; there are monastery buildings and numerous possibilities for hikes and horse trekking. It’s a wonderful place to relax. Take a horse-riding day trip to visit local nomads and taste traditional Tibetan food with nomad family; in the afternoon you will ride back to the town for the night.
Day 7: Lakstang Lamo—Sogkodzong (Henan)
Today will drive through the vast grassland to Sogkodzong,(a Mongolian town) Today their lifestyle mostly is same as that of the Tibetan nomads, and the only difference is the yurt, which is still the same as Mongolian. Along the road we can visit some traditional lifestyles of nomads and have a picnic on the way to the Mongolian town. We will overnight in Sogkodzong.
Day 8: Sogkodzong—Xining
In the morning we'll pay a visit to the small monastery of Lakha Gonpa, home to about 150 monks, and also visit the amall school rooms of the little monks of this monastery. Afterward, we'll drive back to Xining along the Yellow River. We will overnight in Xining.
